Three Reasons We're Lucky to Live and Do Business in New Mexico

In the spirit of four-leaf clovers, pots full of gold, and St Patrick’s Day coming up, we wanted to focus on the lucky things we have close to home. We’re not talking possessions, but rather why we’re fortunate to live and do business in the best state in the country–our beloved New Mexico.

History

Our state has quite the vivid history with its Native American influence. Its presence dates back at least two millennia to early tribes in the southwest that evolved into permanent settlements 1,500 years ago. Currently, there are 22 tribes in New Mexico. We’re proud of our state’s past and more than that, we love how present it still is in our culture. You see the influence in our art, food, and architecture today.

Food

Speaking of food, if you’re like us, then you have a hankering for any and all Mexican cuisine. Luckily, it’s as close to authentic as you can get here. Thanks to our ancestors, the food in this state is bursting with flavor, color, and—our favorite—spice. You can find our fav cuisine just about anywhere since it’s so popular. You haven’t had a real Taco Tuesday until you’ve done it here in NM.

Recreation

We know more people assume our region is all cacti and dry, but that’s definitely not the case. You can actually ski the slopes at Taos Ski Valley, Angel Fire, or Red River, to name a few. In addition, the summers aren’t as hot as you’d think, so warmer weather activities are very doable. Skiing, hiking, sunbathing, and camping can all be done right here.

While you’re out and about exploring everything, you’ll need a means of transportation. That’s where we come in recommending the new and improved 2018 Toyota 4Runner. This ride and adventure go hand-in-hand. It’s equipped with plenty of storage for luggage, gear, and road trip snacks, while also possessing 4-wheel driving capabilities to ensure you get through any terrain. See our full inventory of this ride on our site and start planning your next trip. We wish you the best of luck this St. Patrick’s Day and our fingers are crossed you get into your new 4Runner soon.
